Moving from Fragility to Resilience in Afghanistan – Building Capacities for Promoting Rural Youth Employment in Fragile Contexts (ITCILO, 2019)

The final report of the first phase of the project Promoting rural youth employment in Afghanistan through entrepreneurship education and vocation training presents a “roadmap to resilience”, an adaptable framework for promoting resilience in fragile contexts  – through the promotion of decent work, training and capacity building programmes.

The report highlights the central importance of Fragile-to-Fragile and South-South Cooperation to the project: capacity-building activities promoted knowledge exchange between Afghanistan and India. A large part of the training was held in India, including study visits to Indian training institutes, associations and more, providing a space for horizontal dialogue and allowing Afghan counterparts to find approaches that could be adopted and adapted to the local Afghan context.
